I think that's the same thing... ("gentle stretching" == warm down)?
It's interesting that you're never puffy in the morning. This is what I
was talking about earlier: some people just don't experience this for some
reason.
For me, my face is "puffy" when I wake up, regardless of whether I've been
playing or not. Different physiology, I guess.
I get around it by getting up earlier and doing a little bit of easy,
relaxed arpeggios. Not sure that double pedals first thing would do it for
me - but it sounds like a similar 'tonic' - just a different set of notes.
