[TPIN] Bach Sound: Players Perception or Listeners?

Changing the topic a bit... here is something I've found interesting:

Now... to my ears, the Bach has more color, focus & depth in the sound. But
regardless of the type of music (classical, jazz, rock)... anyone I ask will
always say my Kanstul 1600 sounds better to their ears than the Bach.

It leads me to wonder that perhaps the Bach "sound" phenomena is more in the
players ears than the listeners?

Just last night, I was doing some trumpet descants with an organist, while
people were assembling for a choir rehearsal. I switched between the two
horns and asked everyone for an opinion... they ALL said "no comparison..
THAT one (the Kanstul) sounds much richer". Interesting... because I've
gotten the same kind of comments when playing small group jazz, and also in
rock venues.

Food for thought....
